YOU ARE RETARTED
if you buy a pc for the same price as a mac it will ALMOST ALWAYS have better specs.
9400m is an integrated GPU. The performance on this GPU is heavily dependant on the type of ram you’re using. Also, whether or not you’re running in dual/triple channel mode. The most performance it can ever get on the best DDR3 is about the same as 9300m gs or 9200m gs.
9600GT is about the only current dedicated GPU for any MacBook pro while other laptop can even utilise dual graphics cards.
PC =/= HP .. and also, HPs youve talked about are at 1/5 – 1/10 price of the Macbook pro
might I ask what those needs are?
pc jockey……
He’s referring to the front side bus speed, the hard disk speed, and the graphics card speed. Macbook Pros use DDR3 SDRAM memory, most HPs use DDR2 SDRAM, which is slower. And the standard front side bus of a Macbook Pro is 1033 MHz, whereas the standard for an HP is around 800. HPs generally use crappy GPUs, or integrated GPUs. Macbook Pros use Nvidia GeForce 9400M GPUs with 256 Mb RAM, and 9600 GTs with an additional 256 Mb RAM.
So no, the PC is not a better buy.
Nice video.Seems like Apple has its tasks evenly dealt with as this is a different kind of video. And talking about tasks reminds me that Apple is in India and if your a student you must call 1800-425-4646 and find out about the special offers that Apple has in store for you guys and gals.
haha, he had so much trouble getting it in there. looks like me. i’ll be like OKAY LEMME JUST…ALRIGHT…IM UHH…WAIT…
mac fag
I said before, I use a MBP 13″ and a PC running OSX for home use until I purchase my Mac Pro.
Money aint’ an issue for me, I am wise with my money and don’t blow it all on dope like the gangstas do. And I earn a fair bit too. Nonetheless, a Mac suits my needs, suck it up or run away! It ain’t gonna change who I am or what I use.
The MBP had much better specs than the HP.
On the ad, some dude mentioned “MBP 4gb ram, HP 4gb ram, they are the same speed, but the MBP is $1500 more expensive”
What they didn’t tell you was the CPU, RAM FSB, HDD, GPU and other features. If you tweaked the HP’s specs to meet the MBP, there wouldn’t be much price difference at all!
That is just MS marketing for you.
Ok you keep talking about talking about labtops from mac that was 4 times more expendive but yet you said earily or at least lead us to believe that you are a PC user with MAC OS which can not be true with your current comments so what is it are you using a Mac Labtop or a PC with mac OS?
Well, I use a 13″ Macbook Pro for school.
The iMac doesn’t provide enough power for me, so i’m going to save for a Mac Pro. Using a custom build c2q 2.4ghz, 8gb ddr2 800, 9800gt, 320gb 7200rpm wd + dell 24″. Running OSX and Linux and Windows via parallels.
Gonna save me a few more thouand and get…
Mac Pro
2x 2.26ghz xeon, 12mb l3c, 8gb ddr3 1066, gtx 285 (or fx4800), 640gb 7200rpm hdd, 30″ led cd.
A little more costly, but it suits my needs better.
I do not understand your last comment. You showed me 2 laptops, almost exactly the same. but one is $700 and the Mac is $2,500. Doesnt that mean the PC is the better buy? I use a free anti-virus and it kicks ass. Havn’t had a virus yet.
All modern macs have Hardened Annodized Aluminum Unibody casings. It just tells me how little you actually know about them. HA!
My laptop was not custom built, it has a very nice webcam (dont know any stats on it but its crystal clear) Has a kick ass videocard and therefore has a very high resolution. And I am pretty sure Macbooks have plastic casings. F**k backlit keys
lol
MS ads. “Lauren hunts for a laptop” ad thingy.
What they didn’t tell you…
HP
$699 +$100 virus protection, 4gb ddr2 533mhz, 2.1ghz cd, 1mb l2c, intel gma 950, 120gb 4800rpm hdd, 1280×800 17″, 1.5 hr battery. Vista.
MBP
$2499, 4gb ddr3 1066, 2.66ghz c2d 6mb l2c, 9600mgt, 320gb 5400rpm hdd, 1920×1200 17″ 8 hr battery. Thinner, lighter, more portable. OSX
They are trying to trick you!!! bloody marketing.
5. If you are not downloading random torrents and/or porn on your pc then you will never get a virus. My pc has NEVER crashed on me.
I simply meant that you are using a PC to run your Mac OS and that is just a slap in the face to Mac. You’re right, Windows is not a computer company, it is a Software manufacturer.
The only reason why Macs crash less than PCs is because there are less Macs than PCs lol. I would need to see some %’s XD
I am half a sleep so sorry if my comments don’t make sense.
3. Alright, Price!
uh… if you build it yourself, it is obviously going to be cheaper.
The reason why most computers (dell, hp, acer etc…) are cheaper, because they are made cheaper.
Plastic casing, no (or bad) webcam, no backlit keys, low resolution monitors, poor battery life, all these things add up. Apple has standards, they won’t ship “Junk” Even if you don’t need a webcam or an aluminum casing, they have to suffer the $200 extra. For me, it’s just peace of mind.
Sorry Iv’e lost track now.
Lets start from 5.
5. Tthat’s her problem. All my mates in real life or online have never had problems with their Mac. Iv’e never had a virus, crash or error. Everything just works. (for me!) And if it works better for me, that’s all I care about.
Again, it has been proven Macs crash less than traditional PC’s. And viruses, yeah, market share does play an important role in that, but why do I care, it saves me $100 a year and… I don’t get viruses. Full Stop.
Sorry, I messed yp a little, I couldn’t stop lauging at your previous comment. ha
uh… Yeah, sorry, I meant to say Microsoft is a software compant, they don’t make Microsoft Desktops or Laptops.
(Windows is a company, wtf???)
Wait, a computer is a computer. There is no such thing as a “windows computer” unless you are… well, running windows on your computer. lol That makes no sense. Windows is a software company, they don’t make Windows Desktops. XD
4. You win.
5. She had those problems fresh out of the box. Her Mac is still only several months old and it fails her.
6. Oh well, lol.
1. Unless you are a video game designer, rendering doesn’t mean anything what so ever.
2. If you are running a Mac OS on a WINDOWS COMPUTER then you are a traitor of your own kind!
3. Waiting for your message.
5. It depends on what the user is willing to commit to keep their computer healthy. Your GF probably has no resepct for her computer and how she uses it. I bet if she moved her computing lifestyle over to a PC she would have a lot more problems.
6. lol, market share. How about… Customer Satisfaction. Wait? That doesn’t count. Oh, well. I guess Market Share don’t count either! (Again, I will send you link to references)
