help?!? figuring out how to reset my Macbook air password using a macbook air superdrive?
So basically, I did some research.
To reset your password, using a MacBook Air SuperDrive
1. Connect the MacBook Air SuperDrive directly to your MacBook Air without a hub or extension cable and insert the Mac OS X Install Disc 1.
2. Restart your MacBook and hold down the C key as it starts up.
3. Choose Utilities > Reset Password from the menu bar. Follow the onscreen instructions
I did the first step and I can’t figure out the second one. I’ve tried 5 times but it still doesn’t work.
Pressing down the C key as in
- after the welcome sound until the apple appears ?
- or until the white screen appears ?
- until the spinning wheel below the apple appears?
- until the screen with the nagging password thingy appears?
Everytime I did it ,it always appears with the same old screen.
Help on how to fix this matter?
So that I can get the utility thing and reset my password?
i tried again but i’m totally helpless on this.
The superdrive ejects the installation cd after the blue screen loads.
It doesn’t work! anyway, whats the special screen?
