I am a big mac fan, and the Macbook Air is beautiful. I won’t go into the benefits of having one (too many to mention), but things that have let me down:
- The screen started to flicker after 3 months, and I had to get it replaced under warranty (there are many instances of this in web discussions).
- It is a bit slow, especially when booting up office applications or even firefox.
Buy it for the styling, think about extending the warranty.
UPDATE:
Now installed Snow Leopard – it is noticeably quicker. 4 stars.

It looks great; has a very bright screen. Its small, thin and light its ideal if you travel a lot and don’t need a computer for doing lots of processor intensive tasks. Its great for still photos; office productivity applications and watching / listening to media.
It takes up no space in your bag; and is very light; and surprisingly solid given its thin form.
